Drug abuse, a.k.a., substance abuse, is a medical, social, and economic issue that affects the human population of every nation on earth. It severely disrupts bodily functions, ruins families, and costs billions of dollars in medical treatment. It is one of the most important issues that society faces today.
The synapse is the connection that allows neurons to communicate with one another. Each neuron has numerous synapses that connect with many other neurons, and if the human brain contains billions of neurons, imagine how many synapses there are. Welcome
Neuroscience-Net, LLC publishes continually updated neuroscience books and forums for authors to post questions and comments on book chapters, and also to list their latest journal articles to inform other neuroscientists that they have been published or are in press.
Neuroscience-Net Forums
The books listed on the left hand side of the home page are the first set in our Master Reference Book Series which are available on a subscription basis. Click on the book titles to see more information. A subscription to the books will include all updates, such as additional references in a chapter, and new chapters, for a period of two years. Chapters in progress (being written) are listed in the Book Excerpts page using the link at the upper left.
The Neuroscience-Net Forum (see below) has four sections (you must register before you can post in any of the forums). The first one is the Author's Forum, where you can post a listing of your latest published journal article with abstract and key words, so that other readers can find out about your latest publication. The second forum is the Book Forum, where you can comment on any of the material published in our Master Reference Book Series, such as making a suggestion for adding a discussion of recently published new information that is pertinent to a specific chapter in one of the books. The third forum is for Manufacturers, where companies can list new products that are relevant to Neuroscience research. The last forum is the Publisher's Forum, and here, publishers can list their latest published books or new journals in the field of Neuroscience.
